The Kollektif Co., Pittsburgh, PA, has opened a new division—an independent cosmetic lab in Teaneck, NJ that specializes in custom formulations. The Kollektif Co. offers a tailored range of services, including strategic innovation planning, roadmapping, concept development, and process management. In the two years, the firm has been operational they have helped early-stage and established brands bring more than 30 products to market. The Kollektif Co draws upon a combined industry experience of more 50 years, as well as academic credentials earned from renowned cosmetics institutions like ISIPCA. Founded by Fedora S. Hristov in 2020, the cosmetic, fragrance and wellness product development firm says it provides clients services normally only available to larger enterprises. An increasing number of clients expressed interest in formula ownership, which their contract manufacturers didn’t offer. They wanted the flexibility to switch manufacturers or use more than one, mostly to improve timelines and be in control of their brands,” said Fedora S Hristov, founder and CEO. “It was a real problem for them, and we took proactive measures to provide a solution by offering formulation services.” The in-house formulation lab is headed by industry veteran Venera Stojkoska.
